Leadership Team

Meet the leadership team at DDB Group Hong Kong, a diverse ensemble with a wealth of experience and unique perspectives. The team includes Andreas Krasser, a creative strategist turned CEO; Peter Rodenbeck, a regional director with over 20 years of experience in Asia; Maggie Cheung and Koman Ko, managing partners who bring a deep understanding of the advertising industry; Doris Yim, our Chief Financial Officer with a strong background in finance and accounting; Adrian Tso, the strategic mind behind our planning team; Alejandro Canciobello, our Regional Executive Creative Director with a passion for impactful advertising; and Frankie Fung, our Chief Creative Officer famed for his dedication to creative and effective work. Each member brings their unique strengths, contributing to the group’s collective success.

Andreas Krasser
Chief Executive Officer

Half Korean, half Austrian, Andreas is a creative strategist turned CEO.

His work has regularly been recognised at local, regional, and international awards including Cannes Lions, Effies, the AMEs (Tangrams), and the WARC Prize for Asian Strategy. Andreas was named Campaign Asia’s Planner of the Year in 2013 for North Asia and in 2017 for Greater China. In 2019, he was listed among Campaign Asia’s 40 under 40, which recognizes the top rising talent from the Asia-Pacific region and their efforts to positively influence the industry.

Andreas is a published author in the field of cross-cultural consumer research, an avid writer for industry publications, and also frequently lends his views on stage at international marketing conventions.

Fluent in German, English, Korean, Andreas also claims to know how to get himself into trouble in Russian.

In his free time, he likes to illustrate comics, pretend to lift heavy weights, and film Arts & Crafts YouTube tutorials with his daughter.

Doris Yim
Chief Financial Officer

Doris joined DDB as a Finance Director, overseeing finance and accounting, IT, administration and HR functions for both the Hong Kong and Guangzhou operations. Four years later, Doris was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of DDB Group Hong Kong, partnering with other senior management to shape the overall strategy and direction of the business.

Doris started her career at Ernst and Young CPA in Hong Kong, followed by a move into commercial accounting with Hutchison Priceline Travel Limited, where she helped to build the accounting system from scratch to operation.

Doris first entered the media industry by taking up the role of Finance Director at STAR Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of News Corporation. Working in the regional head office based in Hong Kong, Doris led a team of fifteen accounting staff, with full responsibility of the P&L across HK, Taiwan, China, SEA and India. Prior to joining DDB, Doris was with FCB, where in partnership with the Managing Director, she turned around a net profit position after being with the company for a year.

Doris lives for exploring the world at great heights and depths with skiing and scuba diving adventures but will also happily spend all day at home preparing food for her family.

Koman Ko
Managing Partner

Koman started his career in advertising in 2008. In his 12 years in the industry he has only become more passionate about finding the most effective creative business solutions for clients.

Koman has worked on a wide range of accounts in the banking, tourism, FMCG and beauty industries. He has worked on major brands such as Hong Kong Tourism Board, FWD Insurance, McDonald’s, AXA, Johnson and Johnson and Hong Kong International Airport.

When joining DDB, Koman initially worked six years on the fast-paced McDonald’s account gaining experience on brand building and integration. He then took on the role within the agency group of account lead of digital business for Tribal DDB Worldwide, strengthening his expertise as an integrated marketer. During the 3 years he spent in this role, he was also instrumental in the growing the business, expanding the agency group from a team of 10 to a true tribe of 40 plus.

Koman left DDB for a year and rejoined the DDB Group Hong Kong family again in 2019, this time as a member of the management team, helping to drive new business and strengthen the social content experience team. He was promoted to Managing Partner in 2023.

Koman’s passion for creativity extends beyond the advertising world and on to the stage where he enjoys amateur dramatics and directing.

Maggie Cheung
Managing Partner

Maggie has more than 20 years of experience in marketing. She spent the first years of her career on the client-side marketing consumer goods before realising her true calling was to work at an agency. She made the move over ten years ago and has never looked back.

Before arriving at DDB, Maggie’s agency experience consisted of senior account servicing positions at branding agencies Eight Partnership, Alchemy Asia and KymeChow Communications and working on a wide range of brands including Sun Life Financial, AIA, Prudential, Kerry Properties and OVOLO Hotels.

Maggie started at DDB as Business Director in 2017 and was promoted to Managing Partner in 2023. She heads up a 12 person-strong account servicing team for what is one of the market’s most famous advertisers and the agency’s largest account, McDonald’s.

Maggie has led the team through a very successful period, achieving recognition via countless creative and effectiveness awards and most recently celebrated with the client the fact the partnership won Gold for Greater China Agency Marketer Partnership of the Year award at the Campaign Asia Agency of the Year Awards.

Managing one of the most dynamic and fast-paced accounts in Hong Kong keeps Maggie pretty busy but when she’s not working you’ll probably find her balancing that by enjoying some quiet time with her dog…, and maybe with a glass of wine in her hand.

Frankie Fung
Chief Creative Officer

Frankie is an esteemed creative with over 19 years of experience in advertising in both Hong Kong and China. He has led creative development on a wide range of accounts including McDonald’s, Manulife, Lipton, Volkswagen, Philips, Bank of China, HSBC and Dragonair.

As a strong believer in the integration of online and offline work, Frankie has created many successful holistic and social campaigns for brands.

His dedication to highly creative and effective work has resulted in winning over 100 local and international creative and marketing awards, such as Hong Kong Grand Kam Fan, Cannes, One show, Spikes Asia, Adfest, Longxi Advertising Awards, Times Chinese Advertising Awards, Effie Awards and Markies. He has also participated in judging the work of New York Festival, LongXi Advertising Awards and LongXi NOVA Awards.

Frankie is a self-confessed kid that never grew up. He loves collecting toys (he has a collection of almost a thousand Tomica toy cars) and enjoys reading children’s novels together with his daughter.

Adrian Tso
Head of Strategy

Adrian joined DDB in 2015, and has since led strategic thinking on both local and regional business. He initially started in the role of Senior Planner and was promoted to lead the planning team in 2019.

Adrian’s background saw him largely focus on finance and real estate industries, specialising in corporate branding and communications. He developed brand strategies at Brand Union for Prudential, Prudential Financial, Swire Properties, Henderson Land and Grosvenor. He also spent time at start-up Nanoleaf, helping them launch their brand.

Since joining DDB his account experience is now wide-ranging and all-encompassing, including Hang Seng Bank, FWD Insurance, Samsung, A2 Milk Company, Hagar International, and McDonald’s, to name a few.

Adrian drives strategy in advertising through a rare combination of long term, big picture thinking and an astute insight into both commercial implications and human behaviour. As a result of this approach, in collaboration with creative partners, he has produced multiple award-winning campaigns. Adrian has also judged both creative and effectiveness awards such as Ad Stars and the APAC Effie Awards.

Born and bred in Hong Kong, Adrian was educated in the U.S. with a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. His interests are eclectic and diverse, ranging from mixed martial arts to crypto-currencies, and from gaming to behaviour economics.

Alejandro Canciobello
Regional Executive Creative Director

Alejandro started his career in advertising in 2009. He strongly believes that advertising has the potential to have a beneficial impact on societies worldwide. Also, that the launch of Pokemon Go was as close as humanity has come to experiencing world peace.

This 6ft tall Peruvian has worked at JWT Lima, Young & Rubicam, Grey (Carne) and McCann Worldgroup, picking up metals at Cannes with a Gold Lion in mobile, and a Silver Lion in creative data. His work has also been awarded at The One Show, D&AD, NYF, CLIO, LIA, The Webby, ANDY, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, El Sol de Bilbao, among others. He has worked with major brands such as Sony, Toyota, Amnesty International, McDonald’s, Nestle, Movistar, DirecTV, Coca-Cola, Mastercard, and GSK.

Alejandro’s wanderlust has taken him from Lima to Singapore, having held Creative Director roles at McCann, Leo Burnett and now at DDB Group Hong Kong.

His hunger for rule-breaking ideas is rivalled only by his insatiable appetite for dim sum, particularly siu mai. He loves his rum on the rocks and listening to Midnight Train to Georgia when working into the night with his team.

His mantra is to love people more than work.
